In almost all dental clinics, printed X-rays have become a thing of the past. Our dental clinic is equipped with digital imaging, which we use to aid in faster examinations, impose less exposure to harmful radiation on our patients and generates less waste, which is more environmentally friendly.
Digital imaging is made of intraoral and digital cameras which have the capability of documenting the complete clinical condition of a patient’s teeth, gums and mouth. This is done through still and moving images which appear instantly and are then integrated into patients’ electronic health records. Today’s intraoral digital cameras are lightweight, smaller and a lot easier to use.
